Riverview

Our Riverview project consists of two parts. A mid-century elevation façade study and an office containership ADU for a realty and development company. The character of this mid-century house needed to remain true to its original period, however bringing the spirit to contemporary times, our client desired to play with the exterior materials to better harmonize with the site.

Status: In progress

For the façade upgrades, iterations using various materials were played with as well as some new design features for the "end caps" of this residence. The most important part of this study was to remain in character and harmonize with the context and the geometry and proportions of the original structure.

Shipping Container ADU

The shipping container office follows an "L" shape. the analogy of a periscope was used to imagine the narrow 8X40- foot upper containership having a backdrop view towards the Neuse River and the top of the trees. Leisure spaces are proposed for employees to have informal work spots.
